The Job:

We are looking for a Film Programmer in our Sydney Office. Joining the Sales, Marketing and Content team, you will work as an integral player behind the scenes scheduling content to provide a seamless guest experience. This role calls for a natural problem solver, able to multitask and stay motivated with repetitive tasks. You will work closely with distributors to optimise the allocation of sessions when preparing programming across multiple formats and differing HOYTS platforms. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and strategic placement of content across the HOYTS circuit
  • Strategically adjusting programming based on reviews, Box Office and admissions
  • Analysing market performance and sharing insights and trends with stakeholders
  • Managing in-cinema promotional materials
  • Maintaining positive relationships with external stakeholders eg distributors
  • Combining content owners’ strategic objectives in alignment with HOYTS’ objectives

Who we are looking for:

It goes without saying you will be a top performer and analytical thinker. The role is well suited to someone with a passion for film and a background in scheduling. We are looking for someone highly tenacious, focused and a team player with a can-do attitude.  We are also looking for someone with:

  • A self-motivator, comfortable with repetitive tasks and strict deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Expertise in prioritising goals, delivering key outcomes
  • Experience in a role with transferable skills such as scheduling, timetabling, or coordinating
  • Results orientated; ability to achieve results in a fast-paced competitive environment
  • Experience in building and sustaining positive relationships with diverse stakeholders
